I’m a Florida born photographer specializing in landscape, travel and product photography. I picked up my first 35 mm camera at the age of 4 while visiting Monticello with family, and I was hooked. Always an athlete, I found myself in a body cast for a few months after breaking my back in two places playing football. During my recovery, I picked up a camera and a photography book. Nothing like some forced bed rest to encourage you to learn a new skill.
After graduating from the Savannah College of Art and Design with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in photography, I packed up my dog and car and headed west to Los Angeles where I spent several years working in the photo industry and learning firsthand from the best in the business. Los Angeles also happens to be where I met my wife.
My love of shooting the National Parks opened up the door for a two year stint as the artist in residence on a ranch right outside Yellowstone, so I packed up the car, the dog, and the wife and headed for big sky country.
After our time in Wyoming, I packed up the car, dog and wife again and we made our way to Florida where I worked as the Director of Print Operations for a large fine art consortium.
A few years into our time in Florida, my wife decided it was time to go back to school for her MFA, so off we went again (dog in tow), this time to Penn State University. Back to freelancing as a photographer, I currently split my time working for clients in New York, Los Angeles, Florida, Wyoming and Pennsylvania while working on my MBA in International Business. It’s a good thing I like to drive.
I’ve been fortunate to travel extensively, and I only have two continents left to visit. Some of my favorite locations to shoot have been Australia, South Africa, Turkey, Iceland and China.
When I’m not driving cross-country or visiting new international locations, you will most likely find me underwater. I earned my PADI Divemaster certification a few years back, and now my wife swears I might be part fish. The dog agrees.
